Two weekends ago I met photographer and music video director Timothy Saccenti, who directed the music video for Battles’ “Atlas.” Saccenti solidified my fascination for directors involved in advertising and the music industry, who are all to some small or large degree mentally insane. The brilliance of music videos like this is always a regurgitation of all that controlled chaos between the director, their subject, and the (likely) substance abuse between them.
In other news, two members of Battles have separately come into the restaurant I work at.
